A Face of Hope ~ John, now 13, was an infant when his mother abandoned him and left him with a friend. He has behavior problems and is a threat to himself and others. His care provider is no longer able to care for him. John was placed in a residential program and receives developmental delayed services. John’s behavior is beginning to stabilize however he feels lonesome and abandoned having few visitors and really no family.
A Face of Hope ~Allen, now 13, was adopted when he was a toddler. He came into care after his adoptive parents felt he needed services beyond what they could provide. Allen’s parents love him immensely but are terminating their parental rights so he can receive the services he needs. They plan to stay involved in his life.
A Face of Hope ~Haley is 11 years old and came into care after a report of excessive discipline. Haley has behavioral issues and her parents asked for help from the state and voluntarily placed her in foster care. Haley is now in a therapeutic foster program and is doing well with her treatment.
A Face of Hope ~Alex, 2 years old, and his sister Aimee, 1 year old, came into care after Aimee was admitted to the emergency room with multiple fractures that could not be explained by her parents. Upon further examinations, it was found that Aimee had several more fractures throughout her body. Alex and Aimee are currently in a foster care with a relative and are doing beautifully.
A Face of Hope ~Tina is 6 years old and was found living with her mother in a trailer with no heat, no bathroom, no water and all of the windows were broken out. Tina also had limited access to food and missed school frequently. Her father is incarcerated. Tina is currently in foster care with a relative.
A Face of Hope ~Madison, 16 years old, came into care after reporting she had been physically abused by a parent. Madison is in a non-relative foster home.
There are 89 children in Central Oregon on a waiting list for a CASA Volunteer.
