Do you want to make a positive difference for local children in foster care? If so, come join a team of dedicated professionals who want to make sure that every child in Central Oregon has a safe place to call home. All open positions are listed below. 
Development Director

At CASA of Central Oregon, we recruit, train and support volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA volunteers) who represent the best interests of children in foster care in all court proceedings and throughout the larger communities in Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson counties. CASA programs are mandated by state law, but lack enough state funding to provide a trained volunteer for every child in need - and that’s where YOU come in.

The Development Director has a vital role in our organization by ensuring that we have the financial health to recruit, train and support CASA volunteers to advocate for children in foster care. 

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Demonstrated ability to execute a comprehensive, strategic fundraising program including annual giving, major and planned giving, and special events.
  • Excellent communication skills. Shows a proven ability to engage prospective donors in-person and in writing through compelling funding proposals.
  • Experience planning and executing successful major annual fundraising events including soliciting sponsors, auction item procurement, crafting a special appeal, and managing event details.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to work on deadline and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Proven record of working independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to achieve goals in tandem with project partners.
  • Comfort public speaking and representing the organization in a variety of community events.
  • Proficiency using fundraising software including a donor database and event software.

Preferred candidate will have:
  • Experience creating and executing a variety of fundraising opportunities include legacy and monthly giving programs.
  • Marketing and public relations experience including creating collateral and updating website and social media channels.
  • Grant writing, reporting, and foundation stewardship experience.

​The Development Director will work in a team environment with the Board and Staff.
The position is part-time (.75 FTE, 30 hours a week). Salary is DOE. Benefits include health insurance, 401k, PTO, flexible schedules, and a positive working environment that focuses on a balanced work-life structure.
