Family Find Coordinator
At CASA of Central Oregon, we recruit, train and support volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA volunteers) who represent the best interests of children in foster care in all court proceedings and throughout the larger communities in Deschutes, Crook, and Jefferson counties.

Family Find Coordinator is dedicated to assuring that no youth will leave the Oregon Child Welfare system without a permanent lifelong connection to a caring adult.
This position works in collaboration with ODHS caseworkers and supervisors, as well as CASA volunteers and staff, to discover family members and other meaningful people who can provide positive support and lifelong connection to children in foster care. Utilizing Kevin Campbell’s model of Family Finding, this position conducts case records reviews, internet searches, and personal interviews to discover family members, create genograms and family trees, and facilitate connection between the child and their extended family.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Social Work or one of the related social sciences
At least two years of experience working closely with at risk families and children and/or the child welfare system
The ability to travel between Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson counties (the position is based in Deschutes County)
Aptitude to work independently, establish priorities, and proceed with objectives without supervision
Strong skills in written and verbal communication, organization, collaboration, interpersonal relationships, and small group facilitation
Enjoys working cooperatively with different types of personalities, even in high stress situations
Computer experience including Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, etc), Adobe Acrobat, and Gmail
Experience with research and detailed case documentation
Interest in learning and applying Kevin Campbell’s model of family finding
The position is full-time. Compensation DOE. Benefits include health insurance, 401k, PTO, flexible schedules, and a positive working environment that focuses on a balanced work-life structure.
